Well…this is nice! I just learned earlier this week when a check arrived that Jane and I had sold our novel Except the Queen in Turkey. I knew the Italian deal was in the works, so it was awesome finding this cover of the Italian edition on the internet with its new title that translates as “Diary of the Fairies,” — which is a wee bit odd…but ok, it’s sure pretty!

That is very exciting! I love your work (and Jane Yolen’s) but somehow (unforgiveably) missed this one. But i am redeemed because i am currently studying italian and soon off to italy – and now i have a shiny new book to look forward to reading in italiano! Can’t wait!
*gasps* That really IS pretty! Makes me want the image on my wall. 🙂
Warmly,
Karen
p.s. Do you know who is publishing in Turkey, btw? My book has sold there – to Artemis. Just curious…
Archadia — oh I hope you enjoy it in Italian. I have been wondering how some of the very english moments will be translated — such as one of the sisters getting a lesson on American slang and its correct use in Italian from Baba Yaga!
Karen: yes, we did sell the novel to Artemis — and am wondering the same question as above — what does American slang look like in Turkish?
